AmigActive is the UK's newest Amiga magazine, and the price of subscription is fantastically cheap! Click here for details on subscribing now!

By now you'd have heard the news that AmigActive is now our only remaining UK-based Amiga magazine. It's sad news for many, but not wholly unexpected given the apathy that people appear to have towards magazines. We're in constant contact with many user groups who can confirm that only a small number of their members do actually buy one Amiga magazine or other, citing the difficulty in obtaining them from newsagents as a reason. While this is acknowledged, bear in mind that the future of Amiga magazines in general are extremely delicate. At the end of the day, it's up to you to support them. While the absence of Amiga Format will no doubt hit the community hard, we still have AmigActive to inspire the remaining Amiga faithful. How long this will be feasible for is up to you.

Lookalikes takes a back seat for this month due to the fact that we're now aligning our CD dates with those of AmigActive (Amiga Format were always a couple of months ahead). Rest assured that we still have a sizable collection of them for you, but feel free to drop us a line with your own suggestions! We're also investigating a couple more additions to the User Group Discount Scheme, and details will be published when things are confirmed. Finally, Aminet Hunter is still going strong. Performance tweaks and other enhancements are being made very frequently (some more noticible than others), and new developments are on the way.

Until next month...
